Entering the MTC...

Being set apart as a full-time missionary
Editor's Note:  Mallory was set apart as a full-time missionary on Monday by her stake president.  Today Mallory entered the MTC in Provo, Utah.  She'll be in the MTC for twelve days, and will leave for Toronto on Monday, February 25.

Before she crossed the threshold for her new adventure, she did some last minute shopping at Wal-Mart, debated going to see Les Mis one more time, and ate her final meal at McDonald's.  And at Krispy Kreme.  And at Five Guys.  And at Cafe Rio.  It was a very busy day, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Final, final meal

When Mallory arrived at the MTC, before being committed she stopped at the Provo Temple grounds for a short walk and a chance to say her good-byes to her fine parents (without whom I'm sure none of this would be possible).  As she was taken to the kick-out-curb at the MTC, she was greeted by a welcoming party of approximately two dozen fine, stripling Elders standing on the curb who were eager to help her unload her luggage (and that was quite a task given that both of her bags were overweight by several pounds) and escort her into the unknown.

Mallory turned around for one final wave and smile, and with that she started this next, great stage of her life as Sister Hutchings.
